As the child of an Air Force major General who worked his way up from graduating from West Point to serving in the South Pacific in WWII, Dick Reinbold knew the value of service from a young age. That same value drove him to join the Army himself and later to serve as a Judge.
It was not always an easy road though; he attended 8 schools during his 12 years of education and ultimately graduated from high school in the Washington DC area. He went to Miami University for two years before volunteering for the US Army and later serving in Vietnam before returning to Miami to finish his undergraduate degree.
His second stint of college looked a bit different though, this time with a wife and a young child. After graduating from Miami, Dick went on to attend the University of Akron School of Law. After graduating law school, Dick brought that service driven mindset to Canton working in the Law Department under then City Attorney Harry Klide.
Since then, Dick has served in various legal roles including as an Assistant Solicitor for the U.S. Department of Labor, Assistant City Prosecutor, and Chief of the Criminal Division for the Stark County Prosecutor, all in addition to his private practice work.
He was appointed to his former boss Harry Klide’s seat on the Canton Municipal Court by then Governor Celeste and later served as a Common Pleas Court Judge. Dick has even been invited to lecture for the Ohio Judicial College, The University of Mount Union, and Stark State College.
Dick is proudly married to Nancy Reinbold (Pfingsten), a lifelong Stark Countian. Nancy has also served her community as Chief Deputy for Clerk of Courts Phil Giavasis and later as the Clerk of Courts when she was appointed after Phils departure and served until her retirement.
